LBNL - 62849 Electron - Cloud Build - up : Summary ∗
نویسنده
چکیده
I present a summary of topics relevant to the electroncloud build-up and dissipation that were presented at the International Workshop on Electron-Cloud Effects “ECLOUD’07” (Daegu, S. Korea, April 9-12, 2007). This summary is not meant to be a comprehensive review of the talks. Rather, I focus on those developments that I found, in my personal opinion, especially interesting. The contributions, all excellent, are posted in http://chep.knu.ac.kr/ecloud07/.

Summary of Session D: Simulations of Electron Cloud Build up I
This report is a brief summary of the session D of the workshop ECLOUD04 about electron cloud build up simulations (Part I). In this session the status of some of the existing codes for the build up simulations has been reported and updates on the progress towards new powerful 3D and self-consistent codes have been presented. Simulations specifically applied to damping rings for linear collider...
متن کاملUpdate on Electron-cloud Simulations Using the Package Warp-posinst∗
At PAC05[1] and PAC07[2], we presented the package WARP-POSINST for the modeling of the effect of electron clouds on high-energy beams. We present here the latest developments in the package. Three new modes of operations were implemented: 1) a build-up mode where, similarly to POSINST (LBNL) or ECLOUD (CERN), the build-up of electron clouds driven by a legislated bunch train is modeled in one ...
متن کاملElectron Cloud Effects, Vacuum (sps+lhc) Summary
The session summarised here was devoted to Electron Cloud Effects and Vacuum in the SPS and LHC. Seven talks were presented, covering recent experimental observations of electron cloud effects at the KEK-B Low Energy Ring (LER), measurements of surface properties at EPA, simulations of electron cloud build-up and heat load, vacuum observations and electron scrubbing in the SPS with LHC type bea...
متن کاملSey and Electron Cloud Build-up with Neg Materials
A. Rossi, CERN, Geneva, Switzerland Abstract The LHC room temperature sections will be coated with non-evaporable getter (NEG) materials for, among other reasons, their properties of antimultipactor. Laboratory measurements of secondary electron yields (SEY) of TiZrV NEG coatings have shown that after 2 h heat treatment at 160 and 200 C, the maximum SEY decreases from 2 to below 1.4 and 1.1 res...
متن کاملElectron Cloud Studies for KEKB and ATF
I describe a few recent electron-cloud simulations for KEKB and the ATF. For KEKB the dependence of the electron build up on the peak solenoid field is studied, for the ATF the minimum bunch population required to build up an electron cloud in a possible future positron operation.
